>> How can I check what websites my users have visited?

The system can record connection details of each client when he/she is accessing the Internet. The log data can be periodically sent to a specified Syslog Server, Email Box or FTP Server based on your pre-defined interval time.
You can check the "Source IP" (SIP) and "Destination IP" (DIP) addresses from the Session Logs for all traffic generated by your users. However, the system will not translate SIP and DIP addresses into domain names.

>> Can I allow users to use the Internet for a period of time free of charge without login?

Currently, the system does not support self-serviced free trial accounts. Two alternatives are provided:
- The "Walled Garden" feature allows users to surf some predefined websites without a need to login, but you cannot limit the free surfing time here.
- You can also create on-demand accounts with expiration time periods, but this requires users to login first. Choose User Authentication> Authentication Configuration > On-demand User, and define temporary user account plans here.

>> Why doesn't the reset button work?

The reset button actually functions as "system reboot". To reset back to factory default, you need to access configuration settings from the Web Management Interface or access the settings from the console port.

|

>> Why can't I access the Web Management Interface after system reboot? (I get this error message: "You don't have the permission to access on this server.")

By default, the system only allows connection through LAN3 or LAN4 port (WHG101's Private Ports) with IP 192.168.2.0/24 to access the Web Management Interface (WMI). If you try to access the WMI from LAN1, LAN2 or wirelessly (they are by default Public Ports), then you will see the "You don't have the permission to access on this server" message.

>> How do I setup homepage redirect on WHG101?

To setup "homepage redirect", go to System Information > Home Page. Enable the home page option and enter the URL of the desired home page, such as http://www.yourcompany.com. After a successful login, users will be directed to this homepage, regardless of the original homepage set in their browsers.
For example, after login, the "Login Successful Page" will appear - this window must be remained open for the duration of the entire usage period. If you try to close this window or go to another website in the same window, then a warning message will appear.
To start browsing, the user needs to open a new browser window, and this newly opened window will go directly to the assigned home page.

|

>> Why do I receive the "you are already logged in." message when trying to login again or simply open the browser after a certain period?

This may occur when the user 1) changed his network interface (e.g. from connecting by wire to wirelessly) or IP, or 2) had logged in from one computer (but didn't log out properly) and tried to login again from another computer. This causes multiple login instances of the same user account.
To solve this problem and allow multiple login, choose User Authentication > Additional Configuration and enable Multiple Login.
